The Mayor of Halton has praised the transformative work that is ongoing at Weston Point Primary Academy following his visit on Friday 13th December.
The Mayor, Cllr Kevan Wainwright, officially opened the new facilities at the school for the benefit of early years pupils.

The facilities have been funded by the 51勛圖, local businesses: including INEOS Inovyn, Howdens and Viridor, in addition to the local community. The installation was completed by Playsound Services Ltd.
The Mayor of Halton commented: After life and love the best gift we can give to our children is education, not just within a school environment but at home too. Weston Point Primary Academy are an example of how improvements to their school will improve the opportunities and the learning potential of their students.
Principal, Helen Thompson, hailed the facilities as more than just a playground; it is an investment in the futures of our youngest learners, a place where curiosity, creativity and growth will flourish.
Mrs Thompson added: This new outdoor area is also a reflection of the transformative change we are driving within our school.
It signifies our aspiration and our belief in what our children deserve: an environment that mirrors the quality and high expectations we hold for their learning and development.
We are very grateful to the Mayor of Halton, INEOS Inovyn, Howdens, Viridor, Playsound and the local community in supporting this project, and we look forward to continued partnership in the future.
